As we all know winter is the time of year where all the traditions come out.  I love how each family and home have their own collections of "must do's". Here is a peek at our collection so far, I would love to hear yours!

Simple Chai Latte

England is certainly showing signs of winter, mornings and evenings are dark and cold with that crisp feeling in the air. I love nothing more than sipping on a cup of chai latte in the colder seasons but if I'm honest it's often our drink of choice whatever the weather! Here is a super quick and easy way to make the delicious winter warmer.

Chai tea bags or Chai loose tea.
Milk/Almond milk/Coconut milk.
Honey, simple syrup or agave syrup will work perfect.

Warm up your milk in a saucepan with your chai tea, next add in your sweetener to taste (I use honey) if you like you can whisk the milk while it is warming to add some foam. As a general rule I usually use one chai tea bag/one teaspoon of loose chai to one cup of milk. I always finish it of before serving with a sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg, so so good!

White Wash

I have fallen hard over this perfectly styled space by Paulina Arcklin! I will always have a love for busy, bright, and bold, but there is something so incredibly Zen and calming about a beautiful white space. Can this be my home please?

Don Biu Shoot

Here is a peek of a few images from the new Don Biu photo shoot, honestly they are one of my favourite handmade jewellery brand!

Thea Skincare

When it comes to skincare products I gravitate towards ones that are as natural as possible, recently I was sent some skincare products by the award winning brand Thea to try.

Thea products are vegan friendly, paraban, sulphate, artificial fragrance free and not tested on animals so straight away it ticked a box for me.

"Thea is about natural beauty by giving more and more women and men of all colours the best most affordable skincare products to help them look after their skin......."

I got to try the Coffee & Shea Butter Body Scrub and also the Toning Body Cream, I was so excited to give them a try as I always notice a difference in my skin when the seasons change, usually my skin dries out much more in autumn and winter so I'm always on the look out for lovely nourishing products.

First up the cream and body scrub smell truly amazing!  You can tell by the scent there is no nasties in them, just gorgeous natural goodness. The products felt luxurious and good on my skin and left it
feeling soft and hydrated, I love any excuse to do a mini home spa and these felt like a real treat for my skin.

R loves J

Do you know any sayings or quotes that have always stuck with you?  When was a kid I found a children's adaptation of Romeo and Juliet in the library, it was the first time I read the story and I was hooked.

Since then, through out school and beyond I have reread the tale many times and of course watched the Baz Luhrmann movie (which I loved and still do, also did you ever see this Wildfox lookbook). This line is a total classic but it has always been one of my favourites, I think it might be time to pull out the book again.

Do you have any lines or quotes that had a lasting impression?

Blaze on

Soft lighting on a night is my all time favourite, I think it's so cosy and relaxing.  I love fairy lights so when Blaze On asked if I would like to review some pretty lights I jumped at the opportunity.  They had so much choice it was really hard to choose a set, it was a close call between these and these but opted for a bit of colour and went with the Neapolitan Ambient Balls.

The lights are all good to go you only have to plug them in, they are well packaged and much sturdier than I imagined. The hardest part is working out which lucky room gets them!

As a sucker for a wanderlust story which can be read here what really appealed about Blaze On was the ethical policy they hold along with the company's aim to be fair trade and as ethical as possible, brownie points indeed!

Here I am just showing a handful of ways you could style light like these, I'm really looking forward to having a play about with mine. I'll be sure to show you when I do.

Which are your favourite set and how you you style them?

Henna Tea Lights

Candles are perfect for cosy nights in, especially as the darker nights are drawing in.  Why not use a henna cone to create some beautiful designs on tea lights or candles? I often henna large candles also, they look gorgeous plus it's fun getting creative and practising designs. If you're like me you will find it far too tempting to do a little hand design too.
