My Matcha Challenge

At the start of New Year I wrote a little post about taking the teapigs matcha challenge (you can read it here) So two weeks later what did I think?

OK, so firstly making matcha is the best fun ever! it's a ritual I loved doing each day, I would look forward to how I would prepare it.  Things got pretty adventurous!  Matcha lattes, matcha shots, matcha coconut water, added to various herbal teas (the teapigs lemon and ginger worked well) and smoothies to name a few.

When reading about matcha it really sounded too good to be true, the information stated all the benefits like being energizing yet calming, increasing your metabolism, clearing your skin, increasing your focus and being jam packed with goodies like antioxidants and nutrients, the list goes on and on!

Personally I have to agree!  I honestly found this stuff amazing, not only did I feel a big difference other people noticed things like my skin looking clearer, which is always a good thing.  I have even convinced some family and friends to give it a try after sharing my experience.

I decided to try the matcha out when my husband was working away for two weeks and I was home alone our 5 year old and 6 month old kiddos, I truly put it to the test!

When it comes to the taste I enjoyed it, but could see how some people may not.  Think earthy, very strong green tea.  By experimenting with it you could still add it into your daily routine if it was a flavour you didn't really have a taste for, smoothies, adding to food and lattes really diluted the flavour of the matcha.

I loved taking this challenge,  matcha will certainly be added to my tea collection and something I continue to drink it daily.

Have you tried matcha, is it something you would try? and if you have how are your favourite ways to add it to your diet daily?

Fancy trying out teapigs goodies? use the code BOHO to get 10% off your order of some yummy teas.+

I just want to add this is my own personal experience and opinion,  I wouldn't  share something with you I wasn't truly on board with!

Spell The Blog

The Spell blog is just gorgeous and a constant form of inspiration, but be warned sometimes I'm still reading well past finishing my tea and suffering from a bad case of wanderlust.

What are you go to blogs to read, and do you read any of the above?

Yoga Spell Style

Just when I thought Spell couldn't get any more inspiring the boho babes posted these images on their instagram a few weeks back! Pretty amazing right?!

I was waiting for the right time to post them, tonight I'm finally getting back to yoga class after having baby N.o 2 and I can't wait, I did try to keep keep up with practising at home, but honestly more than often that didn't work out.

What a perfect inspiration to get me ready for tonight, now if only I was in the gorgeous Byron Bay outside in the sunshine (check out Spells instagram hastag #spellyogaHQ for more images).

Matcha Challenge

This January I was fortunate enough to be sent a matcha kit to take part in the teapigs matcha challenge, I had seen matcha around but had never had the chance to try it.

Matcha has many health benefits, properties and is packed full of essential vitamins and minerals, so I can't wait to see how I feel after the challenge.

I had my first matcha tea on January first, so today is my second day, so far I'm loving it! The ritual of making the tea is so much fun.

To make your matcha, you place half a teaspoon in to hot water and whisk it up (teapigs have two starter kits with everything you will need, one is a modern kit and the other traditional), then drink it as a shot or however you fancy, I'm quite excited to experiment with it but the lattes taste so good I'm finding it hard to break away.

I will let you know how I get on and what I thought.  Have you tried matcha? Is it something you already have in in your daily routine?

teapigs have been kind enough to give me a discount code for you to get 10% off their yummy teas until February 2015!! use BOHO to claim.

Happy New Year and hello 2015! hope you had a great holiday season, I'm still finding it hard to believe its over already.  With this fresh year ahead of us who knows what it has in store but I'm ready, are you ?
